Britain to give Ukraine new weapons – Johnson

The new aid package will include long-range artillery, shore-to-ship missiles and drones, the British prime minister said. In total, weapons will be provided for 1.3 billion pounds.

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, during a telephone conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, spoke about the military assistance that the United Kingdom intends to provide to Ukraine to counter Russian aggression. It is noted that Boris Johnson called Zelensky to discuss a number of issues, including those related to the security and defense of Ukraine in the war with the Russian Federation.

The Prime Minister of Great Britain recalled the recent announcement of additional military assistance from his country in the amount of 1.3 billion pounds for Ukraine. Johnson detailed this information: the new military aid package would include long-range artillery, shore-to-ship missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles.

The leaders discussed progress in negotiations and agreed to intensify work with allies, including the US, France and Germany, to define a long-term security architecture for Ukraine.
